Story
Covid-19 started it all
"Support Da Locals" originated during the COVID-19 pandemic, rooted in my background in photography, videography, and graphic design. Initially launched in Honolulu, Hawaii, the initiative aimed to provide online solutions, particularly supporting struggling local businesses, with a focus on food merchandisers.
The phrase "Support Da Locals" holds cultural significance, derived from the Hawaiian Pidgin Language. This language, developed during the 1800s, played a crucial role in communication during the kingdom era. King Kamehameha embraced a diverse community, including individuals of Portuguese, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Laotian, Cambodian, Filipino, and other backgrounds working in sugarcane plantations.

It continues to embody the spirit of community and mutual encouragement. With its roots in Hawaii's unique history and cultural diversity, the initiative aims to further empower local talents and businesses, fostering a sense of unity and support within the community.
